Rob Zombie Live in Philly
Master film maker Rob Zombie (House of a 1000 Corpes & The Devil's Rejects) rocked a sold out show at the Electric Factory in Philly on Thursday night... and I had the pleasure of attending. I've seen Zombie a couple of times before on the Ozzfest tours and he never disappoints. Thursday night was no different. Zombie played a few tunes from his new record, Educated Horses... as well as favorites from his solo records (Living Dead Girl, Never Gonna Stop, Demon Speeding, and Dragula to name a few) and from his band White Zombie (More Human Than Human and Thunder Kiss '65). Zombie had a huge movie screen behind him playing constantly... from naked chicks to demented cartoons to House of a 1000 Corpes clips to Manson video (Charles, not Marilyn). Overall, a great show. The opening bands... Bullet for my Valentine (sucked) and Lacuna Coil (okay) could have stayed home and let Zombie play longer (only 13 songs overall). Zombie rocked the House of Blues in AC the following night and I heard it was basically the same show. As much as like Rob Zombie records and live shows... PLEASE GO MAKE MORE MOVIES... NOW!!!
