Foo Fighters Live in Philly

Last Thursday, I had the honor to check out the Foo Fighters at the good ol' Spectrum in Philly. Hands down an A+. From start to finish, the show was excellent. From new tracks like Let it Die, The Pretender, and Long Road to Ruin to classics like Everlong, This Is A Call, All My Life, and Monkey Wrench. Plus, a lil' acoustic set that included some new stuff like But, Honestly to hits like My Hero and a tune from Grohl's Nirvana days Marigold. All in all, an unbelievable show. The Foos are one of the few rock bands that can still rock an arena. Next time the Foos are in town, definitely check them out. I know I will. ZXL... Everything That Rocks...

Random thoughts on the Grammys

So here are some random thoughts on the Grammys I'd like to pass along...

1. Rhianna - Hot.

2. Jerry Lee Lewis - Stay Home.

3. Morris Day and the Time - Still Cool.

4. Foo Fighters and John Paul Jones - Rocked.

5. Beyonce - The Real Deal.

6. Tina Turner - Sounded good, different outfit next time.

7. Frank Sinatra - Aged pretty good.

8. Amy Whinehouse - Loser. Druggy. Waste of Time.

9. Vince Gill - Funny guy for being country.

10. Carrie Underwood - Future ex-wife.

11. Slayer - Winners for a second straight year. Does any of 12,000 voters even know who Slayer is?

12. Bruce Springsteen - Three Grammys. No TV. Sorry Boss.

13. Bon Jovi - 0 for 2. Good. Make a Rock record next time.
