Mo Movies

Here are some more movies I've checked out recently...

No Country For Old Men (A) - Great. Creepy bad guy. And I don't wanna get shot with that weapon. Fast paced movie that deserves all the praise it has gotten so far. The ending was so so, but I think I understand it a bit more now. Def check it out.

Juno (A+) - About three weeks ago I had no idea what this movie was about. This is a movie I would watch over and over again. Ellen Page (i think that is her name) is soooooooo good. Just a simple movie that is very funny.

Walk Hard (C) - Very funny at times. Great cameos. But overall it dragged and I just really wanted it to end. But then again, I didn't really get Anchorman the first time I saw it and I now think that movie is hilarous.

Cloverfield (A-) - Believe the hype. This movie was very good. Filmed like a documentary. I totally enjoyed it and was happy that all the hype was well worth it and I wasn't disappointed like so many other times.

Atonement (B+) - Slow at times, but overall a great story that I was surprised I like it so much. Kiera Knightley is not naked, despite I was told she was throughout the movie. That was a bummer, but I still liked the movie. Slow in the beginning. Just stick it out.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (A) - Love it. Love it. Love it. Phillip Seymour Hoffman might be the best actor out there today. Another movie I didn't know much about and I'm so glad I checked this flick out. Great story. Really good ending. Marisa Tomei is naked alot. And Aunt May (Spiderman) is in it. What not to like?

Oh Britney

Country Leppard?

This news was disasterous to me. My boys, Def Leppard, have followed Bon Jovi into the country field. In March, Def Leppard will release their new record, Songs From the Sparkle Lounge (why god why?) and the first single is called "Nine Lives" with Country Superstar Tim McGraw. (insert loud scream here)!!!!!! I have come down hard on Bon Jovi for doing songs with Jennifer Knettles, Big & Rich, and Leanne Rimes... as well as a full blown country record. Now Def Leppard follows suit. One could say that Def Leppard opened doors for Bon Jovi back in '84 with the success of Pyromania. Now is Bon Jovi returning the favor? I, for one, don't think this is going to work. Tim McGraw? He has joined Def Leppard on stage a few times last year for "Pour Some Sugar On Me". His tour manager is Robert Allen, brother of Lep drummer Rick Allen. That is where it should start and stop. I'm not happy about this. Hopefully, this is a one time deal. The rest of the record is supposedly rock and experiemental, whatever the hell that means. I don't criticize my boys very often, but this one puzzles me.

Mr. Tom Cruise. This man has lost his mind. Completely. You are the winner!!! Do yourself a favor and check out Mr. Cruise losing his mind on video talking about "we are the only ones that can help." And "i wish i could go on vacation." And the best... "i gotta stay away from people that are SP's." Is that a shot at me? Come on Mr. Cruise, take your best shot!!! Crazy Bastard.

What the hell happened...

Movies Movies Movies

So I've caught alot of movies recently. Since it's like $100 to go to the movies, I'll give ya a heads up with some movies out right now...

1. Charlies Wilson's War - A. Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts (who I don't really like) were really good. Phillip Seymour Hoffman was excellent. Just a great movie based on a true story. Definitely worth seeing.

2. National Treasure - A-. Really good. A little "The Mummy". A bit of "Indiana Jones". If you saw and liked the first one, then you'll like this one.

3. Enchanted. B. Disney flick that was really entertaining. Kids and adults will like this. And Amy Adams is kind of hot.

4. The Bucket List - A. Really, really good. Morgan Freeman was good. And Jack. Well, Jack is always great. A fun movie. Definitely check it out.

5. Michael Clayton - C-, but incomplete. I didn't finish it and I'm not sure I even knew what was going on. George Clooney is getting rave reviews, but it was hard to follow... or I'm really slow.

6. American Gangster - A+. Really, really enjoyed this one. Denzel and Russell were on their game... as were the supporting cast. Just a great movie. If you liked "The Departed", then you want to check this flick out.

Until next time... enjoy South Jersey and rock on!!!

w/ Styx and REO Speedwagon... but who really cares.

New record in March. 2008 is looking better already.

2008

It's a brand new year. Time to lose some lbs. Yeah right!!! Time to leave the past behind, but not forget. Time to look forward to a bigger and brighter year. Time to realize some friends that you lost were never really friends in the first place. Time cherish the ones that really matter. And of course, time to get excited about new music and concerts. Well, not as important, but I needed to segue into music somehow?

New tunes from Metallica, U2, Buckcherry. and my most favorite... Def Leppard. The new record should be out in March and tour dates are already popping up. Reading, PA is the closest so far on April 3rd. Hopefully AC or Philly will be released soon!!!

Hope to get to the Foo Fighters in February and then summer is right around the corner. Lots of concerts. Lots of beer. Lots of sunburn. Lots of no sleep.

Cheers to 2008. Hope it's good for you!!!
