The Rose

So I'm watching The Bacholer... or should I say the girl is watching The Bacholer and I was in the room. I can't think of more mindless trash then this show. Oh wait a minute, Jersey Shore comes to mind. Anyway, if you've never seen the show, the "Bacholer" gives a rose to the girls he wants to stay. But isn't the definition of a "red rose" mean I Love You??? This show is totally de-valueing the value of the red rose. He's not saying I Love You when he gives the girls the rose. He's actually saying I want you to stay, so I can date several women at once, make out and hook up, and basically be a manwhore on national TV and people love it. But if, for example, I dated several women at once, slept around, and then kicked one or two to the curb every week, I would be considered a womanizer. Really??? Reality TV will eventually lead to the end of the world. Oh goodie... American Idol starts next week. I've got the bullet, someone give me a gun...

More movies, more movies, more movies...

In between the holidays and football, watched a bunch of movies. Blogged about a bunch of them already and here are some more. Some you should definitely see and some, well...

Public Enemies... very good. Johnny Depp was excellent as John Dillinger. Love old crime movies...

Jennifer's Body... good. It was what it was. Megan Fox wearing skimpy outfits, killign boys, and making out with chicks. How bad could it be...

Up In The Air... excellent. Imagine you have a bookbag... Go check it out...

The Hurt Locker... another winner. Wow. As realistic of a war movie I've seen since Saving Private Ryan...

Drag Me To Hell... I heard this was good. I also heard ABBA made the "Rock-n-Roll" Hall of Fame. Okay, well that is true. The movie... SUCKED...
Blogged quickly about these earlier...
Definitely see... The Blind Side... Julie & Julia... Inglorious Basterds...
Definitely miss... 2012...

Happy New Year!!!

The decade is officially over. I've been blogging about my favorite things of 2009 and moments of the decade. My girl gave me her list of her ten favorite songs of the decade. I'm not even sure I can do this. Some you may know, some you may not. But here I go...

Foo Fighters - The Pretender (best band out there today)

Butch Walker - Don't Move (Butch is brilliant)

Velvet Revolver - Sucker Train Blues (aggressive, loud, rocks... Scott Weiland is the man)

Train - Drops of Jupiter (catchy... hated when I first heard it)

3 Doors Down - Kryptonite (just as good now as the first time I heard it)

Pink - So What! (coolest chick out there)

Fuel - Hemmorage (in My Hands) - (amazing song that still holds up today)

Outkast - Hey Ya! (how can you hate this song?)

System of a Down - Toxicity (one of a kind band that sounds like hell is coming thru the speakers)

The Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love (i can't explain the many reasons I love this song)

Guess I should go with the records of the decade for me as well...

Velvet Revolver - Contraband

System of a Down - Toxicity

Butch Walker - Letters

Butch Walker - Left of Self Centered

Fuel - Something Like Human

Motley Crue - Saints of Los Angeles

Flyleaf - Flyleaf

Halestorm - Halestorm

Matchbox Twenty - More Than You Think You Are

No Doubt - Return of Saturn

Songs and records that I listened to the most of the last 10 years. Maybe not the most popular, the best selling, or hell, you might not even know who some are. But for me, these are the songs and records that still find their way into CD player, IPOD, etc.
